Happy Life Children’s Home was featured on August 25, 2018, on KamemeTV for their performing arts pieces during the Kenya Music Festival. This television station came out and filmed on Saturday, 18 August 2018 and the story aired around 10:20 AM (Kenya Time) on the 25th. KamemeTV is a Kikuyu-based broadcasting station. They were featured in Keyboard/Piano, Saxophone, Clarinet, Recorder Ensemble, and Indian Culture Dance. I had the opportunity to conduct the recorder ensemble for this session. Once this segment aired, some of the orphans came running out of their houses to find me and told me that they saw me on television in KiSwahili. One child, Hesbon, gave me a big hug and kept saying my name. WOW! Sometimes it is one thing to watch TV but to know someone who is living among you and then seeing you on TV is a different story. Ever since seeing the broadcast, this little one has CONSTANTLY been calling my name every time he saw me since Saturday. The way he and some other boys ran up to me was PRICELESS.
